I've Yet To Meet That Lazy Immigrant

Spread the love

As an immigration attorney in St. Louis, Missouri, I have the opportunity to spend time with immigrants from all over the world.  Almost without exception, each immigrant that I have encountered is hard-working and dedicated to making a good life for themselves in this country.

Republicans and right-wingers like to paint immigrants as lazy, shiftless and "stealing" from America.  I have yet to come across any of these lazy immigrants.

From time to time, we will point you to stories regarding hard-working immigrants who left everything behind to become a U.S. citizen.  Today's story comes from NPR's Tell Me More program.  They are doing a piece on dads and profiled an Iranian-American named Faramarz Meshkinpour.  Its worth a listen.
