Timotius Gets His Green Card

If you follow our weekly newsletters, our Facebook page, or our YouTube channel, you know we love to talk about delayed visas and filing the Writ of Mandamus.

Most of the time we have clients that have been stuck in Administrative Processing for years, waiting and waiting, until they file a lawsuit. Sometimes, their case just gets out of Administrative Processing with no help from a lawsuit.

In November 2017, Jocelyn came to us to help file an I-130 for her husband, Timotius.

Timotius was born in Indonesia but had came to the St. Louis Area in 2014 to study business management at Webster University. Jocelyn was studying international studies at Webster University.

They met through Timotius' cousin, who also was Jocelyn's friend, and began dating.

Timotius and Jocelyn married in 2017, and then a coworker of theirs recommended us to help them.

We put together their I-130 and sent it USCIS. Timotius and Jocelyn got an interview date, completed the interview, and then waited.

And waited. And waited.

They were stuck in Administrative Processing for a year and a half after their interview.

But we waited. We didn't file a Writ of Mandamus.

And suddenly, the case was updated.

Their I-130 was approved!

Timotius received his green card, and is now on his way to becoming a U.S. Citizen. And recently, they welcomed a baby boy to their family.

We are so happy that we could be part of their journey and wish them all the happiness in the future!
