Do we win every immigration case?
Of course we don’t win every immigration case.
It’s impossible to win every immigration case.
If you are winning every immigration case, that means that you’re only taking the easiest of the easy cases.
The fact is you’re dealing with a federal agency, a huge bureaucracy with thousands of employees and tons of forms and rules and regulations.
You’re dealing with an agency that’s looking to deny every case that they can.
They’re not looking for reasons to approve the case.
They’re looking for reasons to deny the case.
So, if you ever come across a lawyer or anyone else in life who promises you 100% guaranteed success rate, you really need to be scratching your head.
You really need to say to yourself, “Is this person honest? Is this person truthful? Is this someone that I can believe in?”
I think great honesty brings great trust between client and attorney.
In other words, we try to be as accurate as we can in predicting the likelihood of success.
We’re always going to start out low.
We don’t want to get your hopes up.
We’re not going to make any false promises.
We’re certainly not going to promise that we win every case.
We want you to make an educated decision.
When you’re meeting with aa potential lawyer, make sure to talk to them about the realistic chances of success.
You want to get a sense as to whether or not the attorney’s handled this kind of case before, what kind of track record they have, what issues they’ve seen, what issues they see in your case that might lead to a denial.
You really want to have an honest and frank conversation.
There just isn’t enough information out there to help immigrants in picking an immigration lawyer.
The number one thing I think is honesty.
You want to make sure that your attorney is not selling you a load of BS, just to try to get you to sign an attorney-client agreement.
I would much rather have a client fully aware and on the same page as me.
We’ve had people that we started a case with them and we got the sense that they didn’t realize how hard their case was.
We thought that they had unrealistic expectations.
When that happens, hopefully before they hire us, but sometimes after, we have to have a conversation.
We have to talk about where the case really is. We want everybody on the same page, because the last thing I want is for you to blame me for your case being denied.
We are going to do everything we can to get the case approved, but we can’t control everything.
We can’t make everything happen. We can’t snap our fingers and get you an approval.
All we can do is put your case in the strongest position possible to succeed and to give you the information that you can decide whether or not you want to spend this money, whether you want to take this risk, whether you want to raise your hand.
These are the kinds of things that you have to decide.
You can only decide that if we are giving you accurate information.
So, we will never ever guarantee an immigration result.
We’ll never tell you 100% sure that this case is going to be approved.
Anybody who does is blowing smoke.
So, keep that in mind when you’re out investigating immigration lawyers, when you’re trying to decide whether or not to hire a lawyer.
You want to find someone who’s going to tell you how it really is.
