We recently visited Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville to meet with international students. We presented on a number of important immigration topics including:

  • Why it is important to maintain student status
  • How optional practical training can help form a bridge between F1 student status and an H1B employment visa
  • What international students need to know when meeting with law enforcement
  • The complexities of work based green cards

The presentation was well received and was followed by a series of insightful questions by students from around the world.  The international student department at SIU-E is world class because of people like Geet Vanaik and Sandra Tamari who care deeply about the students' well-being.
