What is our big announcement? Hi. I'm Jim Hacking, immigration lawyer, practicing law throughout the United States at our offices in St. Louis, Missouri, and San Diego, California. I have been teasing our big announcement for the past few days. You may have figured it out. We had a couple clients actually guess what the news is. We are opening a third office. Our third office is going to be in Washington, D.C. In fact, we're taking over a practice. There's an attorney who decided that she was going to go work for the government and we are taking over that practice. We're actually inheriting two really top notch paralegals. I'm really excited about the two of them. One's named Florencia, and one's named Fatima. They're coming to work for us, and we're really excited about that.
We're also really excited about having a presence on the East Coast. Because of the lawsuits that we filed around the country, we have sort of a national following these days, and we have cases all over the country. Many of you know that we opened up our office in San Diego later last year. Of course, we have the St Louis main office, which is where we started. Now, we'll have the East Coast covered. We'll have Washington D.C., St. Louis, and San Diego.
We're really excited about this. We're in the process of onboarding these clients and sort of getting them into our systems. We're really excited about it. We're happy about the chance to serve more people. We are really, really busy this year already, but this is going to be sort of a whole new level of busy-ness. Everyone around here is working their tails off. We have a really good team. Obviously, we're growing. We're excited to be in the nation's capital. As an immigration lawyer, there really can't have a more prestigious address than Washington, D.C. Our office right now is going to be right down the street from the Capitol. It's a block away from the FBI. It's just a few blocks away from the federal courthouse where I got sworn in there five years ago to allow me to file my mandamus lawsuits in Washington, D.C.
Adela, my longtime sidekick office manager, she and I were up there for a few days, two weeks ago. Now, Amany, my spouse and law partner, and Laura Clark, one of our leaders of our firm, they're up there too. It's really a fun transition. It's a lot of work. I have to say that I might've underestimated how much work it is to get everything into our systems, but we're excited about it. We're excited to be working with these fine people in Maryland, and Virginia, and in Washington D.C.
We hope that you're excited for us as well. If you are, leave us a comment.
