Just Find a Damn Co-Sponsor

Spread the love

Why do I need a damn co-sponsor? Hi, I'm Jim Hacking, immigration lawyer, practicing law throughout the United States at our offices in San Diego, St. Louis and Washington, DC. Can't tell you how many times we get people calling us, begging us, writing us, emailing us, texting us, asking us why do I need a co-sponsor? They don't want to get a co-sponsor. They can't find a co-sponsor. According to them, well, [inaudible 00:00:24] there's no co-sponsor. Nowhere on Earth can I find me a co-sponsor. Why hacking? Why do you keep insisting on a co-sponsor? Why can't I use my savings? Why can't I say that I've worked here long enough? Why can't I do something other than find a co-sponsor? The reason you need to find a co-sponsor is because it's the fastest way to get your case approved. If you're cutting it too close, if you don't make enough money and if you're spending all this energy trying to convince them to accept some alternative means as to what they are after, you're setting yourself up for failure.

Here's a great lesson that I learned early on in life. My father would be embarrassed for me to say it, but I'll tell it to you right now. This is one of those times where the path of least resistance is the best path. Don't fight it. Don't argue with me. Don't say that I'm wrong. Don't show me. Don't say, "I'm going to show you how wrong you are. I'm going to get this case approved without a co-sponsor." You can do that, but you're going to add six months to your case and I mean it, six months. If you want to get your case approved as quickly as possible, you'll just get a damn co-sponsor if it's too close.

I'm keeping this video short and sweet. I hope you enjoyed it. Just get the damn co-sponsor. Quit complaining, quit arguing, quit texting, quit emailing, quit begging, just find a co-sponsor. I know it's easy for me to say, but I swear to God, in the last 13 years, that's been my advice and I've never, ever once had a client who couldn't find a coach sponsor when I really insisted that they do so. Spend your time finding that co-sponsor instead of complaining, or arguing or trying to find some easier, softer away. Give us a call if you have questions about this, but please don't call us to ask if you don't need a co-sponsor, 314-961-8200. Almost gave out my cell phone. Email us information at HackingLawPractice.com. Join us in our Facebook group, Immigrant Home, and make sure that you subscribe to our YouTube channel and that you join us every Tuesday and Thursday, usually at noon Central, where we're answering as many immigration law related questions as possible. Thanks a lot and have a great day.
