Immigration processing backlogs continue to grow

New reporting shows legal immigration processing has slowed significantly, with millions of applications pending across citizenship, green cards, work permits, and other benefits. August Visa Bulletin takes effect

The State Department's August 2026 Visa Bulletin is now in effect, with movement in several employment- and family-based preference categories while others remain stalled. USCIS tightens filing requirements for signatures

USCIS has implemented stricter signature requirements on immigration forms. Incomplete, incorrect, or missing signatures can now result in filings being rejected or delayed, making it more important for applicants and attorneys to carefully review forms before submission.
